After a long break from blogging, I thought it would be good to go back to basics and look at the important role that planning plays in healthy eating. I always tell my clients that if you are organised, half of the battle is won! If you want to eat a healthy diet, but live a busy life, a little bit of forward thinking can go a long way.

Put aside an hour on a Monday morning (or Sunday afternoon if it works better for you!) Use this time to write up a menu for the week. Plan your breakfasts, lunches and dinners for the week, making sure that they are balanced, quick and easy. Once you have prepped a menu, you can create a shopping list, making your grocery shop a lot easier!

During the week, be organised by making sure you take dinner out the freezer before leaving for work, prepping your lunch the night before and packing your snacks and meals if you will be at work or out and about.

You’ll be surprised how much easier these small things will make your quest for a healthier diet and a healthier lifestyle!
