These days there never seems to be enough time in the day. Deadlines are forever looming. We are always needed by someone, somewhere else, fifteen minutes ago.  We try to save time wherever we can and most times this is to the detriment of our health and well being.

Contrary to what most of us believe, eating a wholesome, nutritious morning meal will probably save us time in the long run. By recharging the brain and body, we’ll be more efficient in just about everything we do. Eating breakfast could also help maintain our weight or aid in weight loss if that is our goal.

It is important to realize that what we eat for breakfast is as important as eating it.  Sugar-laden cereals and yoghurts are not healthy choices and will be too high in energy. A nutritious balanced breakfast is ideal, as it will meet all our nutrient requirements.
